Yan Wang is a doctoral candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. Prior to RAND, Wang worked as an officer and project manager at the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China. She carried out quantitative and qualitative analysis of health policy with a focus on underinvested areas such as health promotion and disease prevention and guided the private resources for public health objectives.

Wang holds an M.Sc. in international management from Loughborough University, UK, and a master of public policy (MPP) with a concentration in health policy from the University of Chicago. She is fluent in English and Chinese. Her research interests include health economics, cost-effectiveness in health care and program evaluation.
