Escalating Tensions Over North Korea

October 11, 2017

North Korea's acceleration of both its nuclear and missile programs has created the biggest foreign-policy crisis in President Trump's first seven months in office. RAND's Bruce Bennett is often one of the first experts news organizations turn to for commentary about North Korean security issues. He has visited the Korean peninsula more than 100 times, talked strategy with top generals, and meets regularly with some of the most senior defectors to ever escape North Korea. Bennett's recent research examines deterrence of North Korean provocations and preparation for the possibility of a North Korean collapse or other regime changes.

In this Events @ RAND podcast, Bruce Bennett discusses rising tensions between the U.S. and North Korea.
