Message from the RAA President
As spring turned into summer, and summer into fall, we remain apart. The especially difficult times are still with us—a worldwide pandemic, protests calling attention to longstanding inequities, and the many, many lives lost. On the days when it's hardest to find the positive, I like to think about you.
RAND is more than a place of work. We're a community. We learn from and support each other. We are committed to using our talents and expertise in service to the public good.
Our researchers are doing what they always do—working tirelessly to help improve policy and decisionmaking through research and analysis. It's what RAND stands for, and it's perhaps more important now than ever before.
During these trying times, I remain thankful for RAND. There are so many ways to stay connected and to support our researchers in their pursuit of solutions to improve people's lives. On the dark days, remember you can lean on each other.
I hope you are staying safe and strong. I miss you, and can't wait until we can be together in person.
