RAND Policy Spotlight on
Flood Insurance Reform

As you know, the latest extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will expire on May 31st, just before the start of hurricane season. If NFIP is to be renewed, Congress needs to act soon.

With that in mind, I wanted to let you know about a source of objective analysis that's available to you: the RAND Policy Spotlight on Flood Insurance Reform. This resource breaks down key areas of the reforms and highlights relevant RAND studies that offer additional insight and context, so you can help your Senator or Member make informed decisions on the bills.

Please don't hesitate to contact me at (703) 413-1100, ext. 5423 or Laura_Selway@rand.org if you want additional information from RAND, would like to speak to a researcher, or have any questions.

Sincerely,

Laura Selway
