The Future of Telehealth

Policymakers are considering whether to continue the expanded role that telehealth is playing in our health care system during the COVID-19 pandemic, and if so, how to do this while ensuring appropriate utilization. RAND researchers have looked at trends in telehealth treatment during the pandemic as well as potential ways policymakers can help reduce unnecessary care and contain costs while expanding access.
