The TRSSA-SF is designed to reduce teacher fatigue, and measures on-task classroom involvement, positive orientation, and maturity.

    The Waksman Social Skills Rating Scale (WSSRS) was designed to be used by teachers to rate the social skills of their students. The WSSRS can be used to assist educators and clinicians in the identification of social skills deficits in children and teens, as well as for selecting students for social skills training and for program evaluation.

  • Virtual Environment for Social Information Processing Assessment Tool for Upper Elementary and Middle School Children (VESIP)

    VESIP was designed to measure children’s social information processing skills through the use of an interactive and immersive simulation computer program. Children are asked to respond to challenging social situations across several assessment domains. VESIP is one of the few tools that can measure the success of state-level social-emotional learning standards, identify at-risk children, and guide professionals addressing specific challenges.

    The Washoe County School District Social and Emotional Competency Assessment Long Form (WCSD-SECA Long) measures students' social and emotional competencies, aligned with CASEL's five SEL competency clusters. The instruments were collaboratively developed by WCSD, the Collaborative for Academic and Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL), and the University of Illinois at Chicago. The survey is used in Washoe County as a way of obtaining information for low-stakes decisionmaking, to promote collaboration and discussion among stakeholders, and to monitor trends.

    The Youth Connections Scale measures the strength of an individual's supportive connections and relationships with adults. The scale was developed to assist child welfare agencies and organizations improving supportive relationships for youth in foster care.

    Zoo U is an online game designed to give kids practice in solving social problems and navigating social situations commonly experienced in school settings.
