Evidence of Technical Quality
Populations for which technical quality evidence has been collected

Two different samples were used at different stages of the instrument development process: a sample of 47 youths (item development); a national (U.S.) sample of 535 youths from diverse school districts (reliability and validity evidence) (Lopez et al., 2007).

Reliability evidence

The internal consistency reliability of CYSE was reported to range from 0.72 to 0.87 (Lopez et al., 2007).

The test-retest reliability with an interval of five to seven weeks ranged from 0.44 to 0.88 (Lopez et al., 2007).
