Program

Community-led programs that focus on countering violent extremism are critical in the fight against all forms of extremism and in preventing community members from becoming radicalized in the first place. But there are many challenges to assessing the effectiveness of these programs. RAND developed a Program Evaluation Toolkit for Countering Violent Extremism to help organizations identify approaches that are working and to modify or abandon ones that are not.

Project leader Todd Helmus will give RAND Alumni Association members and Pardee RAND Graduate School alumni an update on the impact of the toolkit, and will talk about other efforts at RAND to combat extremism.
