Program

In September of 2018, the Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center (HSOAC) hosted its first acquisition and technology workshop for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The workshop provided a venue for components to come together and share best practices and ideas on topics related to acquisition, technology, and research and development. Several dozen attendees from DHS and experts from within RAND participated. Distinguished speakers from DHS included the Honorable Paul M. Schneider, Chip Fulghum, DUSM, and Soraya Correa, CPO.

Because of the value expressed by the participants of the first workshop, HSOAC will continue to host this workshop annually. Each year we will discuss new perspectives and cover additional topics of interest to DHS in the acquisition, technology, and research and development world. We will bring subject matter experts from HSOAC and DHS together to discuss challenges and opportunities.

HSOAC is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) operated by the RAND Corporation under contract with DHS.
