Shanthi Nataraj

Shanthi Nataraj, Ph.D. is an economist at the RAND Corporation and a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Dr. Nataraj is co-PI for the Consortium for Resilient Gulf Communities’ Economics sub team, which is assessing the economic impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on Gulf Coastal communities, particularly effects on fishing, seafood processing, and tourism industries. This webinar will highlight two female researchers and provide an opportunity for discussion around women working in science and issues related to gender equity in the field. Panelists will discuss their individual career trajectories, as well as provide perspectives on being a woman working in scientific research.
