Center on Quality Policing Newsletters

The latest CQP newsletter from June 2011 describes a U.S. Department of Justice study by RAND researchers examining the long-term adjustments that large urban law enforcement agencies have made to accommodate a shift in resources toward developing counterterrorism and homeland security capabilities following 9/11, and associated advantages and challenges. It also features a report on the CQP's exploration of the English and U.S. forensic DNA analysis systems to determine whether the English criminal justice system has in fact capitalized more fully on the crime-fighting potential of DNA evidence.
