Full-time Employment Opportunities: Research Assistant
Research Assistants work on a variety of projects as members of multi-disciplinary research teams addressing complex policy problems. Research Assistants work with teams of experienced researchers, including economists, policy scientists, software developers, engineers and physicists.
Research Assistants' tasks include data collection, preparation and analysis; support to modeling and simulation; computer programming; literature reviews; preparation of draft documents; and presentations and coordination of work among project team members. Research Assistants may travel with project teams and may have the opportunity to co-author reports and journal articles.
This is a limited duration position; not to exceed 2-3 years. After 2-3 years at RAND, Research Assistants typically return to academia to obtain higher-level degrees.
Language skills or programming capability may be required or preferred for some positions.
Educational requirements: BA/BS or MA/MS degree required in a related discipline.
