RAND Experts Available to Speak on Crisis in Haiti

RAND experts are available for interviews on international relief efforts in Haiti—particularly the long-term work that will be required to rebuild the country's institutions and infrastructure—following last week's devastating earthquake that has killed as many as 200,000 people.

James Dobbins is director of the International Security and Defense Policy Center at RAND and served as a former special envoy to Haiti under President Bill Clinton.

David Aaron is a senior fellow at RAND and also served as a former special envoy to Haiti under President Clinton.

Robert Hunter is a senior advisor at RAND and a former U.S. Ambassador to NATO under President Clinton with experience in stability operations and reconstruction efforts.

Melinda Moore is a senior public health physician researcher at RAND and has conducted an in-depth study of exemplary practices in international disaster management.

C. Ross Anthony is the director of RAND Global Health and focuses on international health and health and nation-building.
