RAND Expert Alireza Nader to Testify Before House Committee About Iran's Power Projection Capability
Alireza Nader, a senior international policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, will testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's Subcommittee on National Security.
Issues he will address include:
- Iran's capability to project power by reviewing Iran's military arsenal, financing, training, and arming of proxy groups in the region
- How Iran's capabilities may advance as a result of increased funding from sanctions relief
- How the U.S. should be prepared to defend national security interests in the Middle East and at home against Iran's advancement in power projection as a result of sanctions relief.
