RAND Experts to Discuss the Promise and Perils of AI, 3-D Printing, and Speed
Media may attend the RAND April 24 forum on future risks posed by emerging technologies. The event follows the same-day release of a perspective that finds that artificial intelligence could upend nuclear stability by 2040. This publication is part of RAND's broader Security 2040 initiative that looks at critical global security challenges.
In coming decades, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and 3-D printing will pose new risks to people, nations and global security. At the same time, accelerating change will challenge policymakers' capacity to adapt. As part of RAND's Security 2040 initiative, multidisciplinary teams of experts are building on RAND's legacy of helping decisionmakers anticipate and respond to trends that will impact our security and well-being.
