RAND Expert to Testify Before House Committee on Homeland Security About Domestic Terrorism and the Attack on the U.S. Capitol
Brian Michael Jenkins, a senior advisor to the president of the RAND Corporation and domestic terrorism expert, will testify before the House Committee on Homeland Security on the threat of domestic terrorism in the wake of the attack on the U.S. Capitol last month.
Jenkins will discuss:

- the importance of a national, bipartisan 1/6 Commission to study the events leading up to and on January 6, including an analysis of the security failures of the day
- the broader issues and underlying societal problems that fuel domestic violent extremism, and the potential consequences of creating new domestic terrorism laws to thwart future attacks.
