Why be a Plurals User?

An appeal to technical writers and editors to eliminate the plural endings improperly attached to attributive noun modifiers in such expressions as systems engineering, materials handling, and weapons systems evaluation. Such expressions as roads program, games theory, reports processing, and weapons planning are the language of bureaucrats and Lower Slobbovians. If we wish to amuse the rest of the world, let's not do it with projects manuals and tests reports.
