Game Theory

A layman's account of the principal concepts of game theory, written for the Academic American Encyclopedia. After a brief survey, several simple models are presented, suggestive of applications to tactical and allocation problems, political representation, evolutionary survival, etc., and the game-theoretic solutions of these models are discussed.
