Conference Marks First Anniversary of "Fighting Fraud Together" Strategy
In partnership with the UK National Fraud Authority, RAND Europe organised a conference on 29 November marking one year of the Fighting Fraud Together Strategy, a counter-fraud strategic plan that focuses on awareness, prevention and enforcement. The event included keynote speakers, panel discussions, and breakout sessions with the aim of generating innovative solutions to common issues and future collaborations in the fight against fraud.
Conference speakers included Jeremy Browne MP (Minister of State, Home Office), Keith Bristow (Director General, National Crime Agency), Ian Dyson (Assistant Commissioner, City of London Police) and Stephen Harrison (CEO, National Fraud Authority).
Panel discussions and breakout panels addressed the following topics:
- Threats and Opportunities of Online Technology
- Personalising and Changing Behaviour
- Uncovering Criminal Networks
- Outing Insider Fraud
- International Perspectives on Fighting Fraud
- Op PODIUM: Lessons from the Olympics
Conference proceedings will inform RAND Europe's study on behalf of the FFT partnership, which will offer insights and recommendations for future policy and partnership activity.
