Rabbi Baroness Neuberger

On 26 November 2014, Baroness Neuberger delivered the annual CCHSR Lecture on "Caring for Dying People - What Matters?".

Rabbi Baroness Neuberger DBE, Senior Rabbi of the West London Synagogue, was educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, and Leo Baeck College, London. She held a number of distinguished posts including CEO of the King's Fund, a UK health charity, the Bloomberg Professor of Divinity at Harvard University and Chair of the review of the Liverpool Care Pathway for Dying Patients. Rabbi Julia is Senior Rabbi of West London Synagogue and serves on the Board of the Van Leer Group Foundation and Van Leer Jerusalem Institute. She is a founding trustee of the Schwab Charitable Trust, set up in memory of her parents.

Baroness Neuberger is a social commentator, writing and broadcasting regularly on a variety of social and religious issues. Her books include Not Dead Yet: A Manifesto for Old Age (2008) and Is That All There Is? Thoughts on the meaning of life and leaving a legacy (2011).
