    The internal-external locus of control construct, Health-Belief Model, Theory of Reasoned Action, Differential Association-Reinforcement Theory, and Problem Behavior Theory all stem from general value-expectancy theory. Ironically, none of these theories contain a full account of social learning, from developmental process to current personality.

  • Epidemiology of Alcohol Abuse in Military and Civilian Populations 1981

    Although the rates were higher in the military than among civilians, most of the difference was associated with the higher-risk demographic characteristics of military personnel, who are more likely than civilians to be young unmarried males. Results indicate that the rate of alcohol abuse in the military is about the same as in civilian groups with comparable demographic characteristics.
