November 1995 - Number 2
The IFLS database is complex, especially with its multi-generational components and with its extensive community facility data. Because IFLS documentation can cover only so much, there will continue to be questions about variables and the relationships between people and between their responses. In some cases, ready answers may exist; in other cases, a little probing by more knowledgeable hands (i.e., RAND staff involved with the data) may be needed. We encourage users to contact us with problems or questions. Just as we hope to reduce the amount of user "head scratching," we also expect to learn more about the IFLS database and to pass that information on to other users.
See the section called Whom to Contact at RAND with Questions about FLS Data for whom to contact about the IFLS.
