Overview

Biography

J. Scott Ashwood is a senior programmer/analyst at the RAND Corporation. He has worked on a variety of projects covering healthcare, child development, adolescent drug use, and asbestos litigation. He has experience working with many types of data including large healthcare claims files, geographic data, longitudinal datasets, and survey data. Ashwood has assisted with all aspects of large and small projects from data collection and management to performing sophisticated statistical analysis and presentation of findings.

Ashwood has over ten years of experience programming in SAS as well as experience with ArcGIS, R, SPSS, Stata, HTML, ASP, Python, VBA, Microsoft Office, and C. He has worked on several platforms including Windows, Unix/Linux, CMS, VMS, and DOS.
