Kristin Leuschner is a senior communications analyst at RAND and a professor at Pardee RAND Graduate School. She has more than 20 years' experience in developing effective dissemination strategies and communication materials for a wide variety of audiences, including policymakers, researchers, and the public. Leuschner has worked in many subject areas at RAND, including national health security, health and health care evaluation, quality improvement, military training and leader education, criminal justice, and international affairs. She has experience with many different types of communication vehicles, including long and short reports, proposals, one- to two-page briefs and impact statements, presentations for policy audiences, and web text. Leuschner leads seminars on writing and communication for RAND staff. She also developed and teaches a course on effective writing for policy analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.
