This Memorandum is a technical desscription of the RAND tablet, a graphical computer input device developed at The RAND Corporation. The RAND tablet is believed to be the first such graphic device that is digital, is relatively low-cost, possesses excellent linearity, and is able to uniquely describe 10 to the sixth power locations in the 10-inch by 10-inch active tablet area.
