Household Questionnaires: Photos from pilot tests of the survey instrument

The length and complexity of the IFLS household questionnaire required a wide array of development techniques in Indonesia to refine the instrument, for IFLS1, IFLS2, and IFLS2+. Specifically, small pilot surveys were used for initial questionnaire development, while larger pretests were employed for refinement of the questionnaires and field procedures. Focus groups were also used in IFLS1 and IFLS2. RAND and LD staff were onsite during the pretests of the household questionnaire.
