Artist's Statement
My art showcases how my community (the Black community) has been excluded from social justice and rejected from America as a whole. It shows how Black people still fight for equality almost 400 years after the end of slavery and more than 50 years since the civil rights movement. My art shows that the black community is struggling to be included in America's community but is actively fighting to change that.
