Participate in Round 6

We are actively recruiting participants for Round 6 of the RAND Hospital Price Transparency Study. This round builds on five successful rounds of research, further expanding our data sources and geographic reach to provide the most comprehensive claims-based analysis of commercial hospital prices in the United States.

Round 6, sponsored by Arnold Ventures, focuses on claims data from 2023-2025 and represents a continued commitment to empowering employers, policymakers, and other stakeholders with actionable price transparency data. Publication of the report from this round is expected in September 2027.

Who Can Participate and Why

We welcome participation from:

Self-Insured Employers, Employer Coalitions, and Unions

Participate to benchmark your hospital prices against regional and national averages, receive customized private reports tailored to your market, and use objective data to evaluate your health plan's negotiating performance and inform network strategy.

State All-Payer Claims Databases (APCDs)

Participate to enable your state's data to inform national research and policy, receive comparative analysis showing how your state's prices compare nationally, and strengthen your data infrastructure through participation in rigorous research.

Timeline
