Data Science Lab

In the Defence, Security and Justice group, we have initiated the Data Science Lab to harness AI tools in our research, focusing on using Large Language Models for extracting critical information from unstructured text to aid horizon scanning and open-source intelligence, while also developing question-answering systems for natural language user queries against curated knowledge bases. Additionally, we are creating air-gapped versions of these systems using open-source AI models to facilitate work with classified data and queries.
