This document provides RAND Europe's submission in response to the call for evidence relating to the House of Lords Select Committee on 'UK Engagement with Space'.
Chris Carter-Gordon (he/him) is an analyst at RAND Europe. Working within the Science and Emerging Technology team, his focus is space policy. He specialises in quantitative data analysis and data visualisation, and in UK and U.S. space policy. Carter-Gordon has led or is currently leading various monitoring and evaluation studies for the UK Space Agency, including for the National Space Science Programme (NSSP) and Space Science and Exploration Bilateral Programme (SEBP), the National Space Innovation Programme (NSIP) and the Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation (CEOI). He is also contributing to space-related projects for the European Commission and contributing to a broader array of space policy projects across the UK and Europe. Carter-Gordon has a strong multidisciplinary academic background, holding an M.S. in science, technology, and environmental policy from the University of Minnesota and an M.Sci. in geophysics from Imperial College London.
