Overview

Sara G. McCleskey is an associate policy researcher at the RAND Corporation. Her research focuses on health care quality and access for vulnerable older adult populations with serious illness. Her recent work has examined racial and ethnic inequities in care outcomes at the end of life and dementia caregivers’ experiences with racism and discrimination in the health care system. More broadly, her interests include aging, palliative and end-of-life care across settings, health equity, social determinants of health, qualitative inquiry, and mixed methods. McCleskey holds a Ph.D. in health policy and management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and an M.S. in gerontology from the University of Southern California.
