Monica Williams is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at RAND Corporation. Her primary interests are criminology/criminal justice, intersectionality, and sociology. She has published and presented in the areas of aging in United States prisons, intersectionality and collective identity, and GIS related spatial analysis of concentrated disadvantage. Other interests included mixed methods research, the life course, prison management, and punishment. She received her PhD in Sociology from Texas A&M University, along with a certificate in Women's and Gender Studies.
