Overview
Charlie Barton is an assistant policy researcher at RAND and a Ph.D candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. He has a B.S. in astronautical engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, and his research interests include defense and military policy, international relations, space, and science and technology policy.
His research at RAND has focused on various aspects of military and space policy, including personnel issues, automation, command and control, and industrial base interactions.
Barton is a developmental engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force.
