Mahta Emrani

Mahta Emrani is an M.Phil. student at the RAND School of Public Policy and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. With more than 20 years of experience in market research and consumer insights, she has led diverse quantitative and qualitative projects across sectors including finance, technology, education, health care, and consumer goods. Her policy research interest is the unintended consequences of emerging technologies, particularly their impact on education and work, equity across social and economic groups, and data privacy and security. Emrani holds an M.A. in communication management from USC Annenberg, a B.A. in business administration from USC’s Marshall School of Business, and is certified in Integrative Thinking from the Rotman School of Management.
