John Murphy is the director of student life and alumni relations at the RAND School of Public Policy. Since joining RAND in 2020, Murphy has worked in various positions within RAND’s Development team focused on large-scale project management and operations, alumni relations, and events. Most recently, he was a senior director of development operations for RAND.
After graduating from The University of Georgia and working in The University of Georgia Law School’s Department of Alumni Relations, Murphy served as the collection manager at the Sir Elton John Photography Collection, one of the largest private photography collections in the world, and as a director at M+B Gallery, one of LA’s premier contemporary art spaces.
