Teryn Mattox is a senior quantitative analyst at the RAND Corporation. Mattox has expertise in the areas of evidence-based child policy and practice including early childhood interventions, and program evaluation. She executes econometric and statistical analyses on data to draw inferences about program effectiveness. She has been lead-author on several reports on using evidence-based information to improve outcomes for children. Her current and recent work includes analyzing a large administrative dataset to examine the implementation and outcomes associated with a home visiting program in Los Angeles, investigating the quality of curricula used by teachers nationwide using nationally representative survey data, and conducting a meta-analysis of early childhood interventions to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of these interventions when considered together. Previously, she has served as a strategic management consultant with Bain and Company, a research intern with UNICEF India, and a research analyst with First 5 Los Angeles. Mattox received her M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School.
