Teryn Mattox is a senior quantitative analyst working primarily with RAND Labor and Population. Mattox has expertise in the areas of evidence-based child policy and practice including early childhood interventions, program evaluation, and econometric analysis. She has been lead author for numerous reports on using evidence-based information to improve outcomes for children. Mattox also has expertise in in project planning and administration, managing some of the largest projects in the organization; since 2007 she has managed projects typically involving multiple tasks, large research teams spread over several sites, significant data security oversight, and detailed reporting requirements. Many of these projects have been in partnership with or on behalf of large governmental organizations including the Veteran’s Health Administration, California Department of Social Services, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and the European Union. Teryn received an M.P.A. in International Development from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Economics from Pomona College. Previously, she has served as a strategic management consultant with Bain and Company, a research intern with UNICEF India, and a research analyst with First 5 Los Angeles.
