Rakesh Pandey

Rakesh Pandey (he/him) is a doctoral candidate in the Research, Analysis, and Design stream at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. His research interests include behavioral economics, empirical development economics, and the political economy of public policy.

Prior to joining Pardee RAND, he was a research manager at the South Asian Center of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), where he oversaw the behavioral economics research portfolio. He has also worked as a senior research associate on evaluation studies in education and energy markets at J-PAL South Asia and Quest Alliance.

Pandey holds an M.Sc. in economics from Trinity College Dublin and a B.B.A. from West Bengal University of Technology.
