Pathways from Climate Change to Conflict in U.S. Central Command
This report presents an analysis of the pathways from climate change to conflict and how that relationship is unfolding in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
Zohan Tariq is a Ph.D. student in the Technology Applications and Implications stream at the RAND School of Public Policy and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. He primarily conducts research at the intersection of energy security, supply chains, emerging technologies, and great power competition, with a specific focus on critical mineral supply chains.
Tariq holds an M.Phil. in policy analysis from the RAND School and a B.E. in chemical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology in Islamabad, Pakistan. Prior to joining RAND, he worked as an operations engineer at one of Pakistan's largest urea fertilizer manufacturers, where he managed production and related operational activities as a designated shift engineer.
