As part of the Housing Assistance Supply Experiment (HASE), the third (wave 3) survey of residential buildings was conducted in St. Joseph County, Indiana (Site II of the experiment), from September through November 1977. This codebook reproduces each question in the survey instrument and specifies every permissible response. Each question is accompanied by a tabulation of responses recorded in the preliminary master file, which contains 172 records (the wave 3 sample was designed merely to supplement the data gathered at baseline). Accounting variables are also included.
