As part of the Housing Assistance Supply Experiment (HASE), the final (wave 4) household survey (officially called the survey of tenants and homeowners) was conducted in Brown County, Wisconsin (Site I), from April through August 1977. This codebook reproduces each question in the survey instrument and specifies every permissible response. Each question is accompanied by a tabulation of responses recorded in the preliminary master file, which contains 3,627 records. Eleven accounting variables are also included.
