RAND-CAGIS (RAND's Cartographic Analysis and Geographic Information system) is a modular geographic information system capable of raster, vector, and tabular data manipulation. The system was developed in the Military Operations Simulation Facility to support a wide range of computer modeling and policy analysis research. RAND-CAGIS has been used extensively to prepare and integrate geographic data for computer models, facilitate the smooth exchange of data between models, and to perform supplementary analysis in support of these models.
