A computation of hydrodynamic and electrostatic forces on cloud droplets within the viscous-flow range. For a typical case, in which the hydrodynamic forces prevent collision of the droplets, it is shown that the addition of a uniform electrostatic field comparable to those observed in clouds causes the droplets to collide.
