An analytical formulation of the problem of hypersonic viscous interaction on a very slender body of revolution having a thick boundary layer and with surface mass transfer. Attention is directed toward establishing the mathematical restrictions necessary for the existence of similar solutions of the boundary layer equations for this class of problem.
