A description of a simplified central war game called STROP, an aggregated model of the nuclear exchange coded for the IBM 7040-44. Particular attention is paid to acceptable payoff, suitable criterion, and the general difficulties in solving war games of interesting complexity--all problems that have hindered the development of fully formulated nuclear war games. 13 pp.
