Describes accomplishments and future plans in the areas of inventory control, support of TAC forces in peace and war, airlift, and maintenance management systems. The RAND base stockage, EOQ, and multi-echelon inventory level models are described, as are the air cargo system model, the TAC enhancement study, the RAPID ROGER and LOGGY SORT projects, and the B+5 maintenance system design research.

This report is part of the RAND paper series. The paper was a product of RAND from 1948 to 2003 that captured speeches, memorials, and derivative research, usually prepared on authors' own time and meant to be the scholarly or scientific contribution of individual authors to their professional fields.
