Some Remarks on Digital Distributed Communications Networks

Limitations of present communication systems are: vulnerability, limited secrecy, high error rate, high delay time in written communication, inflexibility, and rapidly increasing volume and cost. By establishing a new system of all-digital, distributed networks, these limitations can largely be overcome, and the equipment, though more complex, will be smaller, more reliable, and require less maintenance.
