Performance changes on military qualification tests during the first term of service

Discusses the results of a 1972 Air Force experiment which retested the mental categories of reenlisting airmen. Because the mental categories of airmen in the test were originally generated by the AFQT and subsequently by the ASVAB, the database offers a unique opportunity to compare the two tests. Results do not confirm a difference between the norming of the two tests, but do suggest mental categories change during the first term of service.
