A presentation of a systematic approach to the preparation of local objective forecast studies. The paper isolates the seasonal, daily, or other cyclic variations of the elements to be forecast, and determines the correlated (noncyclic) variables by using only synoptic data. In addition, it assembles several component studies into a logical forecast scheme. 23 pp.
