In health policy and health economics, Alex R. Dopp and others identified seven policy recommendations for federal officials to consider when designing, awarding, and executing implementation grants for evidence-based practices in health and social services.

In public health and emergency preparedness, Patrick S. Roberts and colleagues assessed the current state of thinking about emergency management by conducting literature reviews and analyses of both scholarly and practitioner-oriented sources, aggregating top issues in the field, identifying priorities for a research agenda, and suggesting ways for practitioners and researchers to engage with and learn from each other.
