This issue of RAND Health Quarterly features two articles that focus on treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder and depression in the military health system. Two teams, both led by Kimberly Hepner, evaluated the quality of care and the extent to which care was consistent with clinical practice guidelines. Also in military health, Michael Dworsky and colleagues describe the Affordable Care Act's effects on nonelderly veterans' insurance coverage and demand for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and assess the coverage and VA utilization changes that could result from repeal.
In mental health, a team led by Susan Guthrie reviewed the existing literature to establish what is known about the mental health of researchers. And in health care delivery, quality, and patient safety, Jennie Corbett and others surveyed stakeholders to gather and synthesize their views on the future of health and health care in England.
